In collaboration with Nicko McBrain, our International Ambassador and member of Iron Maiden, this extraordinary concept offers you a drum kit that is custom-built to cater to your individual preferences, all while adhering to the exacting standards that define Nicko’s iconic sound. Developed from the snare, Icarus is a dominant but stunning beast.
The Icarus drumkit, derived from the renowned Legend Series drums, showcases an innovative fusion of materials, with the incorporation of Black Oak alongside 100% Scandinavian Birch shells. This unique combination imbues the kit with a distinctive warmth that elevates your playing experience to new heights.
Exuding elegance from the inside out, the interior is flawlessly presented in Black Oak for rich dark tones, while the outer shell flaunts a breathtaking Black Oak veneer adorned with striking hand-cut pinstripes crafted from a vibrant red veneer, which harmoniously complements the inner face of the bass drum hoops.

Icarus made its debut on the global stage during the NAMM event in 2020. Numerous elements of the kit are to be admired: the distinctive Icarus badge, the rich red interior that casts a warmly theatrical gleam over the entire set, and the assorted red dice for occasions when the stands exceed a count of six. Icarus is not just designed for playing with Maiden, rather a manifestation of Nicko’s taste.

Icarus can be configured to your specific set-up which you can specify from a wide variety of size options. With Icarus you can choose from a minimalist, club-style set or decide to “go big” with a multi-tom, twin bass drum mega kit.
